MOUNTAIN GUIDE
I am Zakaria, but everyone calls me Zaki. I am a Berber in my early thirties and have spent almost my entire life in the mountains and lived there as a child. I want to share with others what it is like to live in the mountains ans what our Berber culture is like and how we live a nomadic life today. I also enjoy spending my free time outdoors, both in the mountains and elsewhere in nature.
I studied biology, but I realized that biology did not offer me the career I dreamed of. I want to see and experience different places and working as a guide makes that possible. I dream of being able to hike around the world in different mountains.
As a local mountain guide and a proud member of the Berber community, I offer you an authentic and personal experience. My deep knowledge of the terrain and culture ensures your journey is not only safe but also enriching and unforgettable.
I have been guiding different groups in the mountains since 2016. I have also worked in the tourism industry in different cities in Morocco. I speak Arabic, French, English and Spanish.
